Judging by the results so far i take it we are going to be meeting at the george in the tree, i cant see there being many more votes for the scireborne to overtake the george going on the numbers we have at the meet

The two pubs are less than 10minutes apart anyway.

You going to come over to the meet then Seb?

I dont think the George in the tree was the best of places, most of the car park is in darkness and it was pretty busy, we were lucky to get 3 spaces next to each other in the light!

Whats going on with the meet destination? Is it staying at the George in the tree or is it going to move?

Think people may need a bit more notice this time around as it was organsied pretty late last time

No organisation. No future planning.

Make a suggestion then, we've been discussing locations. This is still in its infancy other than asking what people want what can we do?

Its not really in its infancy. Its 6 months since the meet started. I agree that it can take a while for meets to get going, but it needs leadership and planning.

Just make decisions yourself and organise it. Stop faffing. The monday night thing isnt suitable (for me anyway). Who wants to meet in the dark when you are interested in cars? Especially, during the winter bite when the roads are going to be lethal later on the evenings.

Stop asking for ideas too. Try something, if it doesnt work, try something else. You are organising this after all.

Next meet thread should have been started momentarily after the previous meet was out the way.

Really dont mean anything personal, but indecision about the meet is the reason i didnt come to the last one.

OK so it's been 6 months since it started and for 5 of those we met in the same place at the same time in a suitable venue. So really, lets be honest you're referring to the last meet. I admit the venue/time was organised at the last minute and it didn't work out.

I asked before and a number of people DID want to meet on a monday night.

I'm only asking for ideas about venues. I live in Nuneaton and it turned out when we set up that the majority of people are from Leamington and Coventry, two areas, I'm sure you appreciate I'm not massively familiar with. If the majority of people had turned out to be from North Warks I'd have a better idea about decent venues, so unfortunately I do need to ask people who live in these areas or just say (in the interests of being a decisive leader) lets meet at my local pub and put everyone out of their way.

You have to appreciate the 'balancing act' of trying to find somewhere people are willing to travel. I have two options to explore this:

1. Ask people
2. Develop ESP

Now I'm going to to use the other of the previous meet suggestions and say we'll meet on the 8th of November.

You do have a point about the indecision of the last meet and for this I apologise.

Ok cool, I agree with the above that week nights are not suitable for the winter months

I struggle to make the weekdays anyway and I often work away

So where is the next one?
